Where can I find Volkswagen warranty information?
You can find information about your Volkswagen warranty inside your owner’s manual. If you no longer have access to your owner’s manual, visit where you can browse online manuals or purchase a new hard copy.

Do I need to do all warranty repairs at a Volkswagen dealership?
Yes. All warranty-related repairs for your vehicle need to be performed at an authorized Volkswagen dealership. The dealership does not need to be the same dealership you purchased the vehicle at.

Will using non-OEM parts impact my warranty?
It depends. Your Volkswagen warranty will not cover the replacement of any non-OEM parts or any damage to your vehicle caused by non-OEM parts. If you have non-OEM parts installed on your vehicle that had no effect on warranty-related damages and/or repairs, your warranty may not be impacted. We highly suggest talking with a Volkswagen warranty representative before installing any non-OEM parts on your Volkswagen vehicle to see how they may impact your warranty.

Is my warranty transferable?
Yes. If your vehicle changes ownership during the covered limited warranty period, the warranty will automatically transfer at no cost. It may be a good idea to contact Volkswagen after a transfer of ownership to confirm they have the correct owner information on file.
